This is hands-on work. You spend your day inside homes, crawling through attics, running Rotobrush and Nikro equipment through duct systems, and leaving a house with measurably cleaner air than it had when you arrived. Some days you’ll pull debris out of a vent that’s been sitting there since the previous decade. Other days you’re repairing a collapsed duct section or cleaning a dryer vent so clogged the dryer was two cycles away from a problem. It’s not glamorous, but it’s real and it matters, and the people who do it well are genuinely proud of the work. We’re looking for those people. If you’re thorough, honest, and good with your hands, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
- Air Duct Cleaning Technician – The core of the job: you’re the person in the home running the equipment, communicating clearly with the customer, and making sure the system is actually clean when you leave, not just cleaner.
- Dryer Vent Cleaning Specialist – Detail-oriented and patient; dryer vent work rewards the technician who takes the time to clear the full run, not just the first few feet.
- Air Duct Repair Installer – Comfortable with hand tools, sheet metal, and flex duct; this is the role for someone who likes solving a structural problem and leaving behind something that’ll hold for years.
- Lead Technician / Crew Lead – You’ve been doing this work long enough to train someone else, keep a job on schedule, and handle whatever comes up in the field without calling back to base every hour.
- Dispatcher / Field Coordinator – Organized, calm under pressure, and good at keeping multiple moving pieces from colliding; you’re the person the field crew can count on and the customer hears when they call.
- Customer Service Representative – A real person who answers a real phone and actually helps; we don’t use voicemail loops or callback queues, so this role calls for someone who genuinely enjoys talking people through a real problem.
What We Offer
Real Training and a Clear Path Forward
We don’t hand you a manual and wish you luck. New technicians train alongside experienced crew members on live jobs using the same Rotobrush and Nikro equipment you’ll run every day. The path from apprentice to lead is well-worn here, and we’d rather build a lead technician from inside the company than always hire one from outside. If you want to grow in this trade, there’s room to do it.
Work You Can Actually Stand Behind
Because every job comes with a written price before work starts and a 365-Day Done Right Promise on every repair, you’re never put in the position of defending a surprise invoice or a shortcut you were pressured into taking. The Threshold Standard runs through everything, which means you show up in a clean uniform, with your name and photo already sent to the customer, and you do the job the way it’s supposed to be done. That’s not a talking point – it’s how we’ve operated since 2004.
A National Brand, a Local Crew
Linden Air Duct Cleaning operates as part of the Threshold Group family, which means local crews have the backing of a network that spans 22 states without losing the feel of a local business. The tech sent to your neighbor’s house is your coworker, not a stranger dispatched from a call center three states away. You work locally. You’re known locally. The national infrastructure just means you have better tools and support than a small independent operation typically can offer.
Steady, Consistent Demand
People’s duct systems don’t stop collecting dust because the economy is uncertain. Air duct cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and duct repair are services homeowners need on a recurring basis, and that need doesn’t spike and vanish the way some seasonal trades do. This is work you can count on to be there.
No Experience? Read This.
A background in HVAC, plumbing, insulation, or general construction gives you a useful head start, but it’s not a requirement to apply. What transfers from almost any hands-on trade is the instinct to do a job correctly and the discipline to clean up after yourself. The mechanical side of duct cleaning and vent work is learnable, and we teach it on the job.
The first weeks are spent alongside an experienced technician. You’ll learn how to set up the equipment, how to walk a customer through what you’re doing, and how to spot a duct repair situation that needs to go on the estimate rather than being ignored. The Threshold Standard applies to new hires the same as it does to veterans: background check, identity verification, uniform, and a commitment to putting the work first. If that fits how you already operate, you’ll settle in quickly.
